Do not sit on it

If you are seeing any of this, it is already overdue.

Every one of these means solids are pushing somewhere they should not be. A pump out is a routine job. A silted absorption field is an excavation.

Gurgling drains and toilets
Sewage smell inside or out
Everything draining slowly
Soggy green patch in the yard
Water pooling at the lid
Toilet rising when flushed

Straight answer on price

What does a pump out cost?

Three things move it: tank size, how far the truck has to run hose, and how much has settled in the bottom. A standard household tank with driveway access is at the cheap end. A large commercial tank down the back of a paddock is not.

You get a fixed price before we start. If the site turns out to be different to what was described, we tell you and you decide before anything happens.

Common questions

The stuff people actually ask.

How often should a septic tank be pumped out?
Every three to five years is the usual guidance for a typical household. Bigger households, older or undersized tanks and anything commercial normally need it sooner. If you are already getting slow drains or a smell, do not wait for the schedule.
What does it cost?
It comes down to tank size, access and how much sludge has settled. You get a fixed price before the job is booked in, and if the site is different to what was described we tell you before we start, not after.
Do you service my area?
We are based at Picton and cover the Sydney basin, Macarthur, Wollondilly, the Southern Highlands, the Illawarra, Western Sydney and out into regional NSW. On the edge of that? Call and ask, we will tell you straight away.
Can you come out after hours?
Yes. We run emergency response around the clock. If a tank is surcharging at 10pm on a Sunday, call the number and you will get a person rather than a message bank.
Do I need to be home?
Not necessarily. If we can get truck access and the lids are locatable, plenty of jobs get done without the owner on site. We let you know what we found and send the invoice and docket through afterwards.
What if you cannot find the tank lid?
Happens more than you would think on older properties. Tell us when you book and we will allow time to locate it. If it needs digging out, we will tell you what that involves before we start.
Will you make a mess of the yard?
No. We work off the hose rather than driving over the lawn wherever we can, and the site gets left tidy with the lids back down properly.
Can you set up a regular service schedule?
Yes, and for parks, camps, schools, food premises and anyone managing multiple properties it usually works out cheaper per visit. Give us a call and we will build a cycle that suits the site.
